This FAQ will guide you through the main questions about how to choose, configure and use templates on the Tess AI platform.
Choosing and Using Templates
How to find templates on Tess AI?
Answer: To find templates on Tess AI, access the ''Marketplace''' area. At the top, you will see a search bar where you can type the name of the template or the name of the person who created it to find what you want. Below the search bar, you will find a list of categories that can be used to filter and locate specific templates. If you prefer, you can also explore the Marketplace tab by scrolling down the page until you find the desired template.
How to access and edit texts generated by Tess AI?
Answer:
Texts generated by chat (AI Copilot): As soon as you generate a message through the chat in AI Copilot, you can access the history of conversations. On the upper right side of the chat itself, there is a button called "History". By clicking on it, you will have access to the entire history of chats you have already done through Tess AI.
Texts generated by template: If the text was generated through a template, you need to access the specific template that generated the text. Above the template response field you will see some icons, among them there is a "History" icon, which looks like a sheet of paper. By clicking on this icon, you can access the history of everything that was generated by that template.
Configurations and Best Practices
What are Tess AI templates? How to use them?
Answer: Templates in Tess AI are pre-trained AIs with a prompt and integrations with other platforms to perform a specific task. For example, you can create a template that already contains a prompt with best practices for creating blog articles and use "AI Steps" to extract details from the user's site through web scraper. This way, when the end user uses the template, it is already fed and ready to perform the creation of the articles. This differs from starting a chat from scratch, which has no predefined context.
What are the best practices in creating efficient templates in Tess AI?
Answer: When creating templates in Tess AI, it is important to follow some best practices:
Clearly define the purpose of the template.

Types of Inputs
What are the user inputs in the Tess AI templates?
Answer: Inputs are fields that the user can fill before using a template, with the objective of adding information and helping to personalize the prompt.
For example, imagine you want to create a template for publications on Instagram. For the result to be more personalized, it would be interesting to know the brand name of the person who is using the template. In this case, you can add an input field called "Brand Name", which the user will need to fill before running the template. This way, you can use the brand name in the prompt, giving more context to the AI, which will already know the user's brand name and can use this information to generate a more appropriate result.
How to use the "Upload File" field in your templates?
Answer: To use the "Upload File" field, follow these steps:
Click on the "Add User Inputs" button.
A new section will be opened, where you can select the "Input Type". Choose the "File Upload" option.
In the "Input Name" field, enter the name that will appear to the user. For example, if you want to receive a PDF with the brand guidelines, enter "PDF with the brand guidelines".
In the field tip area, you can add an explanation or an example to help the user understand which file they should add.
You can also define whether the input will be mandatory or not. If marked as mandatory, the user will only be able to use the template after adding the file. If it is not mandatory, the user can use the template even without adding the file.
What are the drop-down and multiple-choice fields? How can they be used?
Answer: The drop-down (single selection) and multiple-choice (multiple selection) fields are ideal for capturing the user's response through predefined options. The drop-down field allows the user to choose only one option, while the multiple-choice field allows the user to select more than one.
Example: Imagine you are creating a template to respond to emails with different tones of voice. If you ask the user to type the desired tone of voice in text form, the results can vary greatly, which can affect the consistency of the response. To avoid this, you can use the drop-down or multiple-choice fields, where, instead of the user typing, they simply choose between predefined options, such as "cheerful", "formal", or "informal". This way, you ensure that the entries in the template are always standardized, generating a more consistent result.
How to configure the drop-down and multiple-choice fields in your templates?
Answer: To configure the drop-down (single selection) and multiple-choice (multiple selection) fields, follow the steps below:
In the creation area of your templates, click on "User Inputs".
In "Input Type", choose "Drop-down" for single selection or "Multiple Choice" for multiple selection.
In the "Input Name" field, configure the name that will appear to the user. For example, if you want the user to choose a tone of voice, enter "Tone of Voice". If you want them to choose a platform, enter "Platform".
Below the "Input Name" field, there will be a field called "Options Separated by Commas". In this field, enter the options you want to appear to the user, separated by commas. For example, for tones of voice, you could enter "Cheerful,Formal,Informal".
In the "Field Tip" field, provide an explanation or example to help the user better understand what needs to be filled in.
